Premiered on Rolling Stone India in January 2023, 'Magizhini' is a new Tamil-English collaboration between New Jersey based Indian-origin violinist, vocalist and composer Rini(member of Grammy nominated Berklee Indian Ensemble) and Award winning South Indian singer Shakthisree Gopalan (works include recording for Grammy and Oscar winning composer A.R.Rahman) that encourages us to enjoy the small things in life. “Maghizini” with its dexterous jazz-fusion rhythms and switch-ups is part of Rini aka Harini S. Raghavan’s ongoing Blue Carpet Sessions.

Recorded in August last year, it’s the culmination of a few years of friendship and association between the artists, who first met in 2017 at a gig. The song is backed by a virtuoso band hailing from different countries bringing together a true global sound.
